The future King and Queen of England, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are currently vacationing on the world’s most secretive megayacht, Opera and it’s a vessel fit for royalty
The tenth largest privately owned superyacht in the world, Opera is as fancy as it is secretive, with very little known about the interior design.
Owned by the Royal Family of Abu Dhabi, Opera is never up for charter, so it must be a little treat from one set of royals to another.
This is the biggest and most expensive yacht that we know relatively little about. There’s definitely a pool and a helipad, and what the yacht manufacturers Lürssen call ‘palatial spaces’, a floating palace fit for royalty.

The world’s most secretive megayacht, Opera
Life in the public eye must be very stressful for the future King and Queen of England so it makes sense that Prince William and Kate Middleton are vacationing on the world’s most secretive megayacht.
Opera is a 145-meter megayacht built by luxury yacht manufacturers, Lürssen.
While this luxurious vessel was highly anticipated, most of the secrets of the interior have been kept, well, secret.
Back in 2023, Opera was dramatically launched with the help of an opera singer, Elizabeth Winn, performing Puccini’s Chi il bel sogno on the bow of the ship, and that’s all we mere mortals are allowed to see.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are being treated like royalty
What we do know about the megayacht is that it is the tenth largest privately owned superyacht in the whole world and it has a large pool and a helipad.
It is currently owned by the royal family of Abu Dhabi who never let even the most richest of billionaires chart it, so that must mean their vacation was a treat from one royal family to another.
According to Lürssen, the megayacht boasts ‘palatial spaces’, which makes sense as it has to be a perfect fit for the royal family.
One day, we hope that we’ll get a peek inside the beautiful vessel and finally know what it is like to live like royalty.
