There are many different ways to show off your vast wealth, but it seems that now private jet flying has become the most visible marker of a sizable bank balance.

Forget a Ferrari or a Birkin bag, the ultimate sign of wealth is whether you can board a private jet with your own money.

It seems that every single celebrity or content creator is now posting pictures of themselves in their very own private planes, but it’s not about getting places faster, it’s about stepping into a lifestyle of the 0.1 percent.

From Paris Hilton to Kylie Jenner, flying private is the most popular transport option for many reasons.

The most visible marker of wealth is private jet flying

It’s time for Coach bags to move to Coach, and for Ferraris to zip off, because they’re no longer the ultimate sign of wealth like they used to be.

You may have noticed a trend of celebrities and social media content creators posting more content from their private airplanes, and this should come as no surprise.

It seems that since the Coronavirus pandemic, there has been an increase in private jet usage amongst celebrities despite climate concerns.

In a bid to skip crowded airports and commercial flights, especially with vacationers rushing abroad after a complete ban only a few years ago, celebrities are turning to their private jets.

Social media gives people the opportunity to flaunt their wealth

Social media apps like TikTok and Instagram have turned private air travel into the ultimate flex, especially with the rise of PR trips to sun-soaked locations like Cabo or St. Barts.

In the US, 1,000 millionaires were created every single day in 2024.

In the past decade, billionaire numbers have jumped by 50 percent, so that means there are far more people shopping for their next private plane.

It’s easier than ever for millionaires and billionaires to book a private jet by using apps, hourly rental services and even crypto payments.

The bottom line is that if you’re a billionaire in a private jet and you don’t post it on Instagram, are you even famous?
