This man’s Ram truck became more than just an annoyance to him.
In fact, it actually turned into a ‘three-year nightmare’ because of a mysterious issue.
The owner took it to several dealers, and none could figure out what was wrong.
And the Ram truck seemed doomed to fail until a Utah mechanic cracked the case.

Ram 3500 has become a living hell for its owner
Owning a brand-new vehicle is an extremely fun experience.
It is all fun and games, in fact, until something goes wrong.
And that, unfortunately, is the fate that befell this Ram truck owner.
Cody, the owner of this 2020 Ram 3500, has put 215,000 miles on the clock over the first five years of owning it.
But the last three years have been an absolute nightmare.
Cody has been experiencing weird electrical problems that nobody can explain.
This is despite the truck still being under warranty.
Each time he thought the issue was fixed, it came back worse than before.
So, in a desperate last throw of the dice, he has brought his Ram truck to Dave’s Auto Center in Utah.

Various dealerships have tried various things, Cody explained to Dave.
And straight off the bat, Dave informed Cody that the Ram’s batteries had failed a load test.
It does not appear that the core problem is related to this issue, though.
The electrician installed two new batteries, cleared the codes, and ran another scan, only to see that most of those error codes came back.
Could the issue be found…under the mud?
But could the issue actually be coming from under the truck?
Cody off-roads his truck on a daily basis, and that has taken its toll on the connectors, which have likely corroded.
Following hours of inspection, the electrician figured out that one of the wires was unplugged.
To solve the issue, a new wiring harness was ordered and delivered to the shop.
It’s hoped that this will resolve the transfer case shifting issue that Cody has been suffering.
And, a week later… it actually appeared to be working.
Dave and his electrician went on a test drive to make sure the issue was resolved, and the plan is to keep the truck under observation for a couple of weeks.
Talk about earning every penny…
