Red Bull has finalized the design for its RB17 hypercar, and it looks absolutely surreal.

This hypercar was originally designed by Adrian Newey before he moved over to Aston Martin.

But the project didn’t end with his departure, as this finalized design demonstrated.

It’s a significant evolution from when we first saw the prototype at Goodwood.

Red Bull has revealed the RB17 hypercar

In terms of looks, the finalized RB17 is smaller than the car we originally saw.

But that doesn’t diminish its magnetism and presence in the slightest, as this hypercar still looks every bit the track star.

Hockey-stick LED front lights give the car a ‘face’, while the engine has been adorned with a sailfish-like fin.

Oh yeah, and side mirrors and a wiper have been added, to bring the car down to Earth slightly.

The RB17 will be powered by a 4.5-liter Cosworth V10, which produces 1,000hp and revs to 15,000rpm.

In addition to those impressive stats, Red Bull has also given the world a glimpse at the RB17’s interior.

Taking a look inside this elusive car

The interior is built like a total racecar, as it’s up to the standards of Le Mans prototype crash regulations.

That’s despite the fact that it isn’t actually eligible to race.

Rob Gray, the technical director of Red Bull Advanced Technologies, told Top Gear that haptic controls and touchscreens weren’t being considered.

This was all about the buttons and physical controls.

Much like a real F1 car, there was nothing in the way of touchscreens.

When can we expect to see this car in action?

It’ll likely be doing test laps at various F1 grand prix this summer, but customer orders won’t start going out until next year.

Don’t get too excited, though; only 50 will be going out.

We viewed the RB17 back in 2024 when it was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

“The RB17 Hypercar embraces everything we stand for: undeniable power, speed, and beauty,” Newey said at the time.

Each one is worth $6 million; it’s no wonder that this car made its way onto the most expensive cars of 2025 list.
