Restoring a decades-old classic motorcycle is not an easy task but it can be quite a rewarding and fulfilling hobby.

However, it requires a good understanding of the mechanics of the bike and some specialized tools.

Today, we will showcase a video that shows a man restoring a classic Honda CD-70 to pristine condition.

At the start of the video, the bike seems to be filled with rust and in a poor state, but by the end, we see a bike that looks completely brand-new.

Restoring a classic motorcycle

It’s quite a fun process to see a bike getting restored from a rusty piece of metal back to a fully functioning vehicle.

Thankfully, we get to see the complete restoration process thanks to a video on the ‘Live With Creativity’ YouTube Channel.

At the start of the video, we see the man disassembling the bike.

This is done so that each part can be restored or replaced separately.

If a vehicle part can’t be restored it’s better to replace it completely.

This is not the first time we have seen a bike getting restored, but this video is quite satisfying to watch.

After disassembling the bike, the first thing he does is restore the fuel tank by removing the rust on its surface.

Rust is a common issue with old vehicles, especially when exposed to the elements.

It can weaken the affected metal and also compromise the structural integrity of the vehicle.

After removing the rust, the man polishes all the parts including the engine.

Restoring a classic motorcycle is quite a great task, as they are often considered a piece of history that represents their respective era.

The engine restoration in particular takes a long time, due to the number of individual parts involved.

However, the end result speaks for itself as you can see from the picture above.
