A car reviewer has given his brutally honest opinion of the Tesla Model 3 Performance after driving it for a week.
The updated Model 3 Performance was launched earlier this year.
As its name would suggest, the Performance model packs a punch – it can do 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 261km/h (162mph).
It also benefits from an all-new adaptive damping system that keeps it ‘planted to the road’, according to Tesla.

Plenty of folks have shared their opinions on how it felt switching to a Tesla – including this guy who ditched his Dodge Challenger in favor of a Model 3, and this man who revealed that investing in a Tesla saved him more than $75,000 in gas.
However, while the opinions of owners are all well and good, it’s especially handy to hear what the experts have to say.
Tomi, from the @tomiauto TikTok channel, usually reviews all manner of luxury and performance vehicles, such as the Ferrari SF90.

In a recent clip, Tomi revealed he’d been driving around in a Model 3 for a week.
He started his review by saying that he was giving the Tesla back as he’d had such a bad time in it.
“The car is whack,” he said. “I hate it. I did not enjoy it – a single second of it…
“…is what you would want me to say. But no, I actually had a pretty good time in this car.”

He went on to say that he particularly enjoyed how comfortable the car was, the fact you could preset the temperature inside, and that you could just hop in and go.
Tomi also heaped praise on the Model 3 Performance’s speed and handling, saying Tesla had ‘nailed it’.
“I didn’t think Tesla could do performance car setups,” he admitted. “But they nailed the suspension set up on the car.”

The main issue for Tomi was the car’s regenerative braking, explaining that he’s the sort of motorist who likes to coast a bit without slowing down.
While regenerative braking may not allow for coasting, it does help give the battery a bit of a power boost – a worthwhile swap for many motorists.
