Rivian teamed up with Ben & Jerry’s the create what is possibly the coolest ice cream truck ever.
Ice cream trucks are always great, and they make people happy.
But that’s usually mostly because of the ice cream.
With this one, the vehicle’s design also plays a key part.

The coolest ice cream truck ever
Most people may be familiar with Rivian for the R1T/R1S, a vehicle you can buy as a truck or an SUV, but the American automaker also manufactures commercial vans.
It’s known as the EDV, Electric Delivery Van, and it’s actually been around for a while.
It was first unveiled as a prototype in 2019 and put into production in 2021.
However, the reason why so many people may have missed it is… Amazon.
The e-commerce giant invested $700 million in Rivian back in 2019 and ordered 100,000 vans, but there was an exclusivity clause in the contract, which means no other company could order or drive these vans.
Now, the clause expired, which means any business can order EDVs if they want.

One of the first major corporations to take advantage of the situation was Ben & Jerry’s, because the popular ice cream brand wants to replace its internal combustion vans with EVs.
Rivian and Ben&Jerry’s jointly announced this new partnership with these super cool ice cream vans.
Imagine using one of these as your daily driver.

About Rivian
Rivian, like Tesla and Lucid, started out as an EV startup before going public.
The Supercar Blondie team tested both the R1T truck and the R1S SUV and they’re both great.
The only problem is they’re a bit expensive but, fortunately, the EV company is now expanding its line-up to include more affordable models.

In the coming months, Rivian is expected to introduce the new R2 and R3/R3X (pictured above), a smaller truck/SUV and compact off-roader respectively.
The American EV brand is also investing in self-driving technology.
According to the company’s CEO RJ Scaringe, ‘hands-free’ driving should debut later this year.
