A rusty Plymouth Fury wagon has been turning heads wherever it goes, thanks to its secrets and the unlikely location it was found.

The 1972 Plymouth Fury 400 has been found in the United Kingdom, a country not usually the domain of the classic station wagon.

But it’s been grabbing everyone’s attention, looking decidedly out of place on Britain’s roads.

The rusty exterior hides a few secrets, with its owner deliberately maintaining its rustic appearance so it can continue to turn heads.

The Plymouth wagon is lovingly looked after

The Hand Built Cars YouTube channel showcased the rustic Fury, and its owner Mark bought the car 15 years ago.

American classics are rare in the UK, but Mark has embraced this car’s roots with its rusty, rustic exterior.

The YouTuber’s video says that the color of the car is natural.

Over time, the sun has burnt the paint off, and Mark has maintained that look.

The classic car fan doesn’t polish the Fury but instead uses oil to preserve the look.

Thanks to this, the wagon appears as if it has sat in the hot sun of Arizona for most of its life.

Inside, though, Mark has gone the extra mile to remind us of its American origins.

The Fury has a very American interior

Inside the Plymouth, we can see various pieces of American memorabilia.

There are reminders of where the car came from.

That includes a portable radio with a ‘Made in the USA’ sticker, a suitcase full of fake dollar bills, and a large American flag.

That ensures the Plymouth is a rolling tribute to the USA and not just a rusty classic car.

Mark’s love for all things America continues.

This is thanks to the American flag on the antenna, the surfer signs, its old-school tags, and the feelers at the front.

This isn’t the first American car Mark has owned.

The Mopar fan’s previous car was a 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Ville.

The luggage rack of the Plymouth also includes a few cool items.

The highlights are the surfboard and vintage Coca-Cola crate.

This Plymouth Fury is – without a doubt – one of the quirkiest classic cars you can find on British roads.
