This man revealed his energy bill after installing solar panels
The EV owner, who charges his cars from the comfort of his own home, revealed that he had a nice surprise when he received his energy bills.
By installing solar panels, he managed to save some serious cash.

He broke the news by taking to Reddit, where he shared a picture of the proof in writing, and the difference was huge.
In fact, he managed to save a whopping $326, with his bill now being just $11, which is a stark difference from $337.
Reddit user duggatron explained: “We have two electric cars (and we did a year ago), and a 2500sqft two-story house that we air condition to about 72 degrees.
“Our primary reason for getting solar was to reduce our household environmental impact.”
Even though it was an investment, the Redditor explained that he’d probably break even in seven to eight years.
The total cost of the energy source was $47,000, which included both the panels and installation.
However, he explained that they would get $12,000 back on ‘our federal taxes to make the net investment ~$35,000.’
EV charging can be done in many different ways
As the auto world evolves, there is a big shift towards electric vehicles, and these need to be charged.
From home chargers to public stations, there are many methods to power cars to complete long journeys.

For example, a map was recently released of the Tesla Supercharger network in America, and it showed how they are slowly taking over the country.
Plus, gearheads are also putting certain EVs to the test to see just how much their electricity bills are compared to gas bills.
Like this man, for example, who bought a Tesla Model 3 and revealed his total costs after charging in public because he refused to purchase a home charger.
