Shaquille O'Neal reveals why he got rid of his two Tesla Cybertrucks and what he replaced them with

Shaquille O’Neal bought two Tesla Cybertrucks, but then he got rid of them quite quickly.

The former basketball player has a massive car collection, and most of his cars are modified.

Ironically, the Cybertruck is one of the few vehicles he didn’t have to modify to fit himself into.

But the reason he sold them will surprise you.

This is why Shaquille O’Neal gave up his Tesla Cybertrucks

Even by the admittedly high standards of celebrities, Shaquille O’Neal is notorious for his car purchasing habits.

He often buys cars on a whim, which is extra complicated for him because he’s so tall and big he doesn’t fit in most cars and has to have them modified.

So far, he’s done that with several Rolls-Royces, a Lucid Air, a ‘FrankenFerrari’, and many more.

He apparently owns more than 40 cars in his possession, and he said he drives most of them regularly.

Not the Cybertruck, though.

Talking on an episode of his podcast, The Big Podcast with Shaq, O’Neal explained why he sold the trucks.

“I was into Cybertrucks but they don’t give enough charge mileage. Then I just got one of those [electric] Escalades,” he said.

So there you have it: one of the world’s richest athletes is worrying about electric range like the rest of us.

Shaq’s buying habits need to be studied

Shaq – and he’s quite open about it – often buys cars as a spur-of-the-moment thing.

He’s done it so many times, including once with Rolls-Royces he bought just to prove a point to the salesperson.

He also sells them quite regularly.

For example, he recently sold 10 of his custom cars, mostly because he had forgotten he’d bought them.

As for his Cadillacs, he apparently owns three identical ones at the moment.

All three are black, all three are electric, and because they’re big enough, all three are unmodified as he can fit in them.

But knowing Shaq, we’re going to go ahead and assume that state of affair won’t last that long.
