The Spectre is the premier electric offering from Rolls-Royce.

And it is proof that the EV offering was always destined to become a classic.

It turns out that the iconic brand’s first electric offering has been a revelation.

Because it is consistently among the top options sought out by collectors.

Spectre reveal brings the car world to a standstill

Rolls-Royce shocked the car world when it revealed its first EV back in 2023.

Named the Spectre, it was shown off to the world in Napa Valley, California.

And it immediately brought the car industry to a standstill.

Many were stunned that a brand as historic as Rolls-Royce would go electric.

Most people thought they would never see the day.

But Rolls-Royce did – and the EV has been a sensational success.

And 2024 proves it.

That year, the Spectre was the second-best-selling offering in the entire Rolls-Royce range.

This made it a more popular offering than vehicles such as the Dawn and the Wraith.

In fact, the Spectre received a significant share of the most valuable Bespoke commissions in 2025.

It has proven to have found an extremely successful market among brand followers as a second car.

But what is arguably even more impressive than the package is the actual powerplant itself.

Rolls-Royce has recently conducted several long-term, multi-season battery tests.

And the end results are nothing short of incredible.

A recent prototype Spectre retained 99 percent battery health after covering more than 100,000 miles.

Chief Executive reflects on success for Rolls-Royce

Naturally, the UK-based firm is very happy with the release’s success.

Chris Brownridge, the Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, articulated this delight.

“Spectre has been created with the same permanence that defines every Rolls-Royce.

“As the first of its kind, it marks a distinct moment in our history.

“Our clients understand this intuitively and commission Spectre as a Rolls-Royce to be admired and passed down for generations.

“This was reflected in its reception: Spectre was our most successful coupé launch to date.”

Many brand collectors with established Goodwood-era portfolios now regard Spectre as an essential addition to their garages.

And the fact that it was the second most demanded Rolls-Royce motor car worldwide in 2025 proves that.

What makes the Spectre even more amazing is that the brand’s founder predicted the foundation of its success.

In its press release, Rolls-Royce reflects on the vision of its founder, Charles Stewart Rolls:

“The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration. They should become very useful when fixed charging stations can be arranged.”

When you consider the vision is from as far back as 1900, it becomes clear that an electric offering was always going to play a central role in the marque’s range.

And the Spectre proves that the electric Rolls-Royce was always set to be a certified classic.
