The owner of a Lamborghini Huracán Spyder valued at $277,000 tracked down his car from London to Thailand, only to find out it was part of a haul of 35 stolen supercars.
Mark McCann had several supercars in his garage and began renting out a newly purchased Spyder after some of the collection depreciated.
After recouping $25,000 on the Spyder in rent, one customer took the car for a spin to Heathrow Airport (London, UK), where it boarded a plane and didn’t come back.
But with a tracker installed, the owner of the Spyder hunted his own car down to Bangkok, Thailand, and was stunned to find it – as well as 35 other cars.

After tracking the car to Thailand, McCann’s team traveled out to Bangkok in the hope of getting his Spyder back.
However, he was soon at a crossroads with the police, as officers were aware of the situation.
The armed Thai police then escorted the team to an auction, where they found the green Spyder as the centerpiece of the sale.
But, the car was modified, with new plates and an additional spoiler, and the new ‘owner’ was reluctant to hand it back. They even alleged that the police were asking for a fee for the car to be returned, in what appeared to be a backhand deal.
Having left Thailand without the car, in fear for their safety after being told a bounty would be placed upon them, the team then landed back in the UK and contacted the police, triggering a massive investigation from the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS).
The investigation had already been ongoing, and this stolen Lamborghini Huracán Spyder was added to a list of other supercars that was now 35 vehicles large.

The $277,000 car was tanking in depreciation as the NaVCIS investigation began to span for years.
But, as of November 26, McCann revealed on his YouTube channel that his beloved supercar had rolled back into the UK again.
It took a total of eight years for the stolen Lamborghini Huracán Spyder to be returned to the UK and back into McCann’s garage.
The Lamborghini returned eight years later but with some neat upgrades
Despite the pain and heartbreak of going through this investigation, McCann was contempt that the Huracán landed with some brand-new modifications.
The entire bodywork was new, alongside the spoiler, wheels, and some internal engine modifications.
But, the car had rocked up some significant mileage.
In the eight years since it left Heathrow, the car posted up an extra 15,000 miles and even had a service while supposedly compounded in Thailand.
Still, McCann was thrilled to have the car back and ready to be rented out again – although some extra vetting might be needed on future drivers.
Supercar and vintage collections are often subject to theft, but its nice to have a happy ending, much akin to the time a Californian man was reunited with his stolen 1967 Dodge Dart.
