Feast your eyes on the STORM, an all-terrain armored amphibious tank.
This tank has been designed to conquer the world’s toughest terrains and can switch from land to sea in an instant.
The STORM is completely bullet-proof and packed with crazy features.

Created by Highland Systems, the STORM was first revealed at the IREX defense expo in Abu Dhabi.
The tank weighs around 10,000kg and has a seriously impressive 2,500 horsepower.
Not only can it reach speeds of 140 km/h (87 mph) on land, but it dominates in the water too.
Powered by a propeller at the back, the STORM can travel 30km/h (18.6 mph) on water.
That might not sound fast, but considering its size and weight, it’s pretty impressive.
Because STORM is shaped like a boat at the front, the armored vehicle can also tackle waves up to 1.5 meters.

The STORM is completely protected against ballistics, IEDs, and mine blasts.
The interior cabin is even designed to absorb any impact from explosives so its driver and passengers barely feel anything.
The tank can also be controlled with a remote control system so it can operate completely autonomously in dangerous environments.

The armored tank is the first of its kind with a hybrid-electric powertrain.
This gives it 18-36 hours of range on land and eight hours of range on water.
Highland Systems hasn’t revealed what its armored tank costs, but we’d expect it to go for at least a couple of hundred thousand dollars.
