As far as royal cars go, their value is based on overwhelming estimating, but this Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II, owned by the Sultan of Brunei, outshines every royal vehicle by being the world’s most expensive royal car.

It’s not an ordinary Rolls-Royce, and the regular one was one of the most appreciated models in the automaker’s history.

However, the Sultan commissioned a rather unique variant of the Rolls for a special occasion, and it’s nothing short of extra.

Considering it was his wedding car, we’d say the ‘investment’ was well worth it.

Then Sultan of Brunei and the world’s most expensive royal car

Addressing the elephant in the room, this Rolls-Royce is as rare as it gets because it’s a 1-of-1.

The car hasn’t made many public appearances either.

As a matter of fact, there aren’t even many photos of it.

It’s also gold-plated, and it isn’t a low-quality layer.

We’re talking about serious numbers here, as the Sultan of Brunei had the car all dressed up with nothing other than 24-karat gold.

You read that right, 24-karat.

It’s not uncommon at all for royals and billionaires to get gold-plated vehicles, mainly because they are expensive and shiny.

However, this Roll-Royce Silver Spur II isn’t the world’s most expensive royal car without reason.

Most expensive Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II ever

As exceptional as this royal ride may be, nobody knows about how much it cost him.

It’s not like it matters anyway.

What we do know is how much it’s valued at — a whopping $14 million.

It even has an entry in the Guinness World Records for being the world’s most valuable gold-plated car.

If you’re not familiar with the Sultan of Brunei’s car collection, let us provide some context.

He owns a mini-collection of over 500 cars of only Rolls-Royce models.

Add in a couple dozen or hundreds of Bentleys, Ferraris, and McLarens, and you have a car collection like no other.

In totality, the Sultan owns over 7,000 cars, and the entire collection amounts to over $5 billion.

That’s certainly a lot of cars for one family.
