Actor Sung Kang has reacted to the restoration of Paul Walker’s wrecked Fast & Furious Yenko Camaro.
To be clear, this was the same Yenko Camaro that Paul Walker drove into a yacht in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
After more than 20 years being abandoned, YouTuber Sam Hard fixed it up for SEMA.
And it was at the event hat Sung Kang gave his reaction to the new-and-improved Camaro.
What had happened to Paul Walker’s Yenko Camaro from 2 Fast 2 Furious?
Remember that awesome scene in 2 Fast 2 Furious when Paul Walker drove a Yenko Camaro onto a yacht?
How could we forget?

Well, once the movie ended, you probably didn’t spare a thought about what happened to the car afterward.
It turns out – not all that much.
The car sat abandoned and in disarray at YEARONE, a place out in Georgia specializing in muscle car parts.
That’s where Sam Hard, the man behind YouTube channel hard up garage, found it.
He wanted it, but it took a few years before he got his hands on it.
“I said ‘I want to buy it’, and he was like ‘No, it’s not for a sale’,” Hard told Supercar Blondie.

“So for the past six to seven years, I’ve been sending English teabags and cookies nearly every year, popping in to say hi every time I’ve over in the US.
“Then last year, just before SEMA, I got the phone call asking if I wanted it.”
After selling his Ultima and his Dodge Charger, he pulled together $25,000 to buy the car.
How did this Yenko Camaro end up at SEMA?
There was one goal – to get this car fixed up in time for SEMA 2026.
It was going to be an intensive job, but lest we forget, Hard has given himself some tough restoration projects before – you may recall he’s the guy who committed the ‘ultimate automotive sin’ on a Toyota Crown, and transformed KSI’s old Volkswagen Lupo into an off-road monster.

In April 2026, Hard started work on the car in Florida, and repaired all the damage over 10 days of intensive work.
“It looked like a patchwork quilt, it was unfinished – but it looked like a car for the first time,” he said.
“The car was delivered to a body shop in Fort Lauderdale called Glass Skills who did all the paintwork on it, the welding, the panels – making it look amazing, just going to town on it and making it look good.”

And then it finally came time for the moment of truth – a big reveal at SEMA.
Believe us when we say this was a big reveal.
There was even a countdown before the sheet was pulled off.
Needless to say, the car looked absolutely sensational.

You’d never have known it was wrecked in a yacht crash.
But there was one person at SEMA whose opinion made all the difference for Hard – none other than Sung Kang himself.
What was Sung Kang’s verdict on the car when he saw it?
Given that Kang was one of Walker’s co-stars, his verdict on the repaired Camaro meant a huge amount.
“Sam, it’s me that needs to thank you,” Kang said.

“Your heart, your spirit, your love for the car community and this culture, your love for the franchise. But most importantly, the amazing human being that you are.”

Can you imagine being told this by Sung Kang himself?
He led the attendees at SEMA in a round of applause for Hard and the work he’d put into the Camaro.
“I’ll be honest, I’ve never felt too accepted by the car community in my life,” Hard told Supercar Blondie.
“To have the respect of Sung Kang is one of the most amazing feelings of my life.”
We can only imagine.
