Eight years of airports, jet lag, and back-to-back flights finally paid off.

Supercar Blondie cashed in her miles for the kind of upgrade most people only dream about.

Her Emirates A380 suite wasn’t just First Class – it was a private cocoon stocked with Dom Pérignon, caviar, and a menu thicker than a novel.

A fitting reward for years in the air (usually sitting a lot further back in the plane).

Supercar Blondie received the Emirates First Class experience

Alex Hirschi, AKA Supercar Blondie, upgraded with miles into Emirates’ new First Class suite for her recent trip to Phuket.

“Eight years of traveling and searching for the coolest cars has paid off,” she said of the upgrade.

The suite was fully enclosed, sealed with sliding doors for top-notch privacy and relaxation.

‘About double the size of their last first class suites,’ Alex notes – more flying apartment than airline seat.

From here, her eyes dropped to the floor, where she noticed Emirates had used ‘the much-loved Rolls Royce idea’ – starlit floors glowing through a full spectrum of colors beneath her feet.

Other features went beyond playful, bordering on absurd.

“Binoculars – not something I ever thought of needing or wanting before in a plane… but it’s a fun little surprise.”

And luxury was laid on thick and fast.

A welcome flute of Dom Pérignon, a tin of caviar, and a menu that Alex described as ‘the size of a book. Detailing where they source all the food and drinks’.

Passengers can eat what they want, when they want – and Supercar Blondie had her own plan.

“Personally I like to rid them of every prawn cocktail they have in stock and do a wine tasting sesh.”

Food and drinks arrived through a small hatch built into the wall, keeping the suite sealed.

On this flight there were only two passengers in First and about four crew between them, so the ratio was well and truly in her favor.

Luxury in the skies

Emirates says it isn’t just selling seats – it’s selling the fantasy of flying private without buying a jet.

That’s why the A380 First Class comes loaded with Bulgari amenity kits, Hydra Active pyjamas, minibars, and showers mid-air.

It’s built to feel less like a cabin, more like a private club.

And the competition is doing its best to keep up.

Qatar has QSuites with sliding doors, Singapore Airlines stretches entire suites into bedrooms, and Etihad offers apartments at altitude.

Every airline is trying to one-up the other, turning long-haul flights into showcases of how far luxury in the sky can go.

Where Emirates pulls ahead is in sheer spectacle.

It’s not subtle, it’s not understated – it’s designed to make passengers feel like the most important person on the planet.

Alex’s flight showed exactly that.

Binoculars, caviar, starlight floors – Emirates turned Supercar Blondie’s upgrade into a reward eight years in the making.
