Car collector and content creator Supercar Ron showed off the rarest vehicle he owns – an E36 BMW M3 Lightweight that used to belong to the late Paul Walker.

Walker was best known for his role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise.

The Hollywood star was a car enthusiast with a collection of around 30 vehicles,

Tragically, Walker died in a car accident in 2013 – he was just 40 years old.

Supercar Ron has an enviable car collection worth millions

Utah-based Supercar Ron has the sort of collection most car lovers can only dream of.

The $17 million collection is packed with supercars, classics, and more, including a Ferrari F40, Lexus LFA, and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato.

However, the rarest vehicle in his vast collection is an E36 BMW M3 Lightweight that once belonged to Paul Walker from the Fast and Furious movies.

Even without its famous previous owner, the M3 is a rare and highly desirable car for collectors – and the E36 M3 Lightweight is ever rarer again, with just 126 known examples.

The Lightweight was a track-focused variant of the E36 M3 and – as its name suggests – was lighter than the original by more than 90kg (200lb). It also featured an improved chassis.

Paul Walker had owned five E36 BMW M3 Lightweight

Somewhat incredibly, despite such limited numbers, Walker had had five E36 M3 Lightweights in his collection.

“This is one of five cars that the late Paul Walker personally owned,” Supercar Ron explained in the clip.

“To even have five E36 M3 Lightweights – it’s even hard to accumulate that many – but the fact that they were owned by essentially the James Dean of our time.”

Following his death, Walker’s collection was sold off and Supercar Ron snapped up one of the E36 BMW M3 Lightweights.

He said that after checking out the motors on offer, he went with the one he did because it had the lowest mileage and was in the best condition.

He parted with $242,000 to get his hands on the car and plans to keep it in his collection and drive it regularly.

“There are cars in my collection that I plan on keeping, owning, driving for the rest of my entire life,” he said.

“This is an extraordinarily special car to me and to this collection.”
