It took some time but the new Maserati GranTurismo is finally here, coming in with a 760-hp powertrain and looks to die for.
More to the point, it is available with a V6 or an electric powertrain.
Maserati took its sweet time to unveil the successor to the car was unveiled nearly 20 years ago but it was worth it.
The new GranTurismo is just as beautiful as the old one, but it is obviously a lot better in terms of performance and technology.
CHECK THIS OUT!
First and foremost, car lovers will be happy to hear that it is available with a V6.
You can opt for the ‘entry-level’ version, called the Modena, and that’ll give you access to 490 hp of power.
Alternatively, you can opt for the range-topping Trofeo version, which is equipped with the same 3.0-liter ‘Nettuno’ V6 that powers the MC20.
And this one delivers 550 hp.
But in this day and age you can’t really have a sportscar that’s not electric and so Maserati was happy to oblige.
If you want an EV, Maserati got you covered with the GranTurismo Folgore.
The name is Italian for ‘lightning‘ but it is also a tribute to the airborne division of the Italian army.
It is powered by a 92.5 kWh battery and a 760-hp electric powertrain, giving it a 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds and a range of 279 miles.
The cabin is infinitely customizable, and you can even opt for a massive 19-speaker audio system.
Obviously, you’ll also find a head-up display and an integrated touchscreen for the infotainment.
Pricing starts at around $190,000 for the Modena, while the Folgore will set you back $215,000.
