Apple could be getting set to release a new Ultra range, that’s higher spec than its current Pro line, according to a new report.

Currently, the Apple Pro range, which includes the iPhone Pro and the MacBook Pro, is the top of the line.

But the tech giant is reportedly working away on a new Ultra line, which offers more power and better specs.

Among the rumored items to be released as part of the Ultra range is the foldable iPhone and a touchscreen MacBook.

Apple is reportedly working on some cool new products for an ‘Ultra’ range

Earlier this month, Apple released the MacBook Neo – its most affordable laptop ever, with a starting price tag of just $599.

Just weeks after its launch, it seems Apple is now looking towards the other end of the price scale with its rumored new range.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple could plump for the name Ultra for the range, which would bring it in line with other Ultra products, like CarPlay Ultra and the Apple Watch Ultra.

Regardless of what name it goes by, Gurman says the range will include the much-talked-about foldable iPhone, and the next-generation AirPods, which will reportedly come fitted with a couple of cameras to help boost their AI capabilities.

Gurman also claimed that the tech giant is working on a touchscreen MacBook, which would be separate from the current Pro range and could come under the new Ultra range of offerings.

Looking even further ahead, the report suggests that a new foldable iPad could also be on the horizon.

Of course, as yet, none of this is confirmed – and we’ll have to wait and see if these products do materialize in the future, but it seems as though there could be some exciting things to look forward to from Apple.

The higher spec products will come with higher price tags

As you’d probably expect, a more premium range would come at a higher price.

According to reports, the foldable iPhone is rumored to launch in September this year, and will come with a starting price of around $2,000

The new device is expected to deliver a $65 billion windfall for Apple.

Meanwhile, the touchscreen MacBook would likely be more expensive than the current M5 MacBook Pro, which is priced at $3,599.
