This guy built a gaming computer with tech components bought from AliExpress, using a relatively small amount of cash but a huge amount of ingenuity.
He ended up spending around $500 in total, which is impressive.
Especially when you consider the amazing capabilities of this supercomputer.
But every silver lining has a cloud, and this one is no exception

The idea behind this ‘AliExpress special’ supercomputer
YouTuber Lecctron decided to build a DIY supercomputer for gaming using only parts from AliExpress, with the exception of the power supply unit, which he got from Amazon.
The idea was to build a computer by acquiring the best possible component for each task at the lowest possible price.
He ended up buying components from different brands, and then he built the PC by himself.
Without getting too geeky, we could probably list two of the main headline features of this PC: the 512GB SSD and a 32GB RAM module, which is not bad.
Especially when we remember that the final cost of the PC came down to exactly $488.95
But it also leaves us with a couple of elephants in the room that must be addressed.
This is a case of ‘do not do this at home’

The YouTuber was quite happy with the result, but he actually advised against replicating the entire build from AliExpress.
For three reasons.
First, the problem is that building a computer with the best parts ‘on paper’ is like building a car with the best bits you can find.
Great in theory, but you may be creating something that performs perfectly for a while, but then just falls apart.

Second, apart from anything else, not everyone knows how to build a computer from scratch.
And the third thing is probably the most important.
According to him, it makes no sense to limit yourself to one problem.
“CPUs and SSDs are really well-priced [on AliExpress], but you’d get better GPUs and cases if you shop literally anywhere else,” he said in the video.
Lesson learned.
