Have you ever wondered about unusual but environmentally friendly ways to make gasoline? Well, look no further as one company has you covered.

The company, Aircela, claims that a machine they have custom-built can turn carbon dioxide into gasoline.

So, gone are the days of worrying about your carbon footprint when filling up.

This could be the new norm, and if all goes well, could even end up on your very own driveway.

Meet Aircela – the new future gas-powered cars

It’s no secret that everybody is aiming towards a greener future, but due to the fact that many cars use gas, which emits harmful gases, it isn’t easy.

However, thanks to one clever machine from a startup in the Big Apple, things could take an upward turn.

Aircela has invented a clever method of quite literally turning thin air into gasoline, but more on the ins and outs of the engineering later.

The company describes it as ‘fuel on your terms’, and it can even reportedly be made in extremely remote edges of the globe.

It’s available as a single machine, or even as a ‘networked array’, and could be the way to make America green again.

According to Popular Science, an Aircela spokesperson said that the clever machine is crafted to convert 10kg of carbon dioxide per day, which can then make one gallon of gasoline.

This invention really turns thin air into gasoline

How the machine turns air into gasoline

According to the company itself, there are three required ingredients to make gasoline: water, renewable electricity, and air, and it claims that it can even work in any standard engine.

There are three key steps to achieving gasoline: capturing the carbon from thin air, producing hydrogen from water, and then synthesizing fuel.

Here’s how it works: the machine uses a solution with potassium hydroxide to catch the carbon dioxide from the air in a chamber.

Next, the process of electrolysis takes place, which then splits water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Finally, the carbon dioxide and hydrogen are fused to make methanol, which is then transformed into gasoline, which is fossil-free.

This method could reduce emissions from transportation, after all, in the US, they account for around 28 percent of the total greenhouse gas emissions, according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

There is a catch, though; the machines are aiming to be ready by the latter part of 2026, so there will be a slight wait on the renewable energy source.

But, from thin air to gas – that’s one big journey, and you can join the waitlist now.
