The newly launched Clicks Communicator has been designed especially for messaging and comes with a large dose of nostalgia thanks to its physical keyboard.
The retro-inspired Clicks Communicator was unveiled at CES 2026.
If the name Clicks rings a bell, it could be because it’s the same company behind the cute physical keyboards that are designed to clip onto your iPhone.
Not content with just offering an aftermarket add-on, Clicks has now introduced its first phone, and it’s ideal for those who are trying to develop better habits when it comes to their phones.

The Clicks Communicator is here to break your doomscrolling habit
The Clicks Communicator has more than a passing resemblance to the BlackBerry and features a physical QWERTY keyboard as well as a 3.5mm wired headphone jack, to really pack on the retro vibes.
Although it might look a little like something from 2011, it runs on the bang-up-to-date Android 16 operating system.

It also comes with a 4.03” touch-screen display and is 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth enabled.
There’s even a couple of cameras: one on the front and one on the back – although they’re not exactly groundbreaking, offering 50MP and 24MP, respectively.
But it’s these more basic elements that make the Clicks Communicator what it is, because unlike most modern phones, this one is geared towards communication and productivity and is ‘designed for doing, not doomscrolling’, according to its creator.
Images shared by Clicks show the phone loaded up with a bunch of messaging and email apps, including Slack, WhatsApp, and Telegram, so you can chat away to your heart’s content.
Clicks says the phone is great for ‘messaging, triage, and responsiveness, while leaving content capture and entertainment to primary devices’.
It can smartly merge your inboxes, so you don’t need to swap between apps, and can be set up to identify important messages via a small notification light that is customizable with colors and patterns depending on who sent the message, so you’ll never miss an important message again.
To boost productivity, the device also has a smart little button on the side that can be held down to record voice notes, memos, and to-do lists while you’re on the move.

You can increase the phone’s storage capacity by popping in a microSD card.
And leaning further into its nostalgic feel, Clicks is also offering a range of colorful, changeable covers.

The phone comes with a low price tag
Clicks says its phone is the ‘ultimate complement to your iPhone, Galaxy or Pixel’’,
“Communicator is to a smartphone what a Kindle is to an iPad,” Clicks chief marketing officer Jeff Gadway said.
“It’s a complementary product that stands on its own, optimised for a specific purpose.”
The company has opened up reservations for the Communicator, with an early bird price of $399.

Once the early bird reservations close, the price will go up to $499.
Customers who have signed up for one will be contacted about configuring their new device further down the line.
Shipping on the Clicks Communicator is slated for later this year.
