Samsung is making another attempt at making the flip phone cool again.

The tech giant just wrapped up its Galaxy Unpacked event where it revealed a range of new and updated products.

But it’s the latest iterations of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 phone that have people talking.

It was back in 2019 that Samsung first launched the pair of foldable smartphones.

But high price tags and fragility limited their usability at the time and garnered a mixed reception from buyers and critics alike.

However, now in their fourth iterations, Samsung appears to be closer to making foldable touchscreen phones viable.

Standing out on the smaller Galaxy Z Flip 4 is its new ‘cover screen’.

The small cover screen allows you to respond to messages, check notifications, and control smart home functions without opening the whole phone.

It also features interchangeable panels on the outside of the phone so you can mix and match color combinations.

But the Galaxy Z Fold 4 takes things to another level with its massive screen.

It’s lighter than the Fold 3 and features new cameras: a 50 megapixel wide lens, 12 megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10 megapixel telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

The Fold 4 has also been optimized to work with Microsoft Office programs side by side or full-screen.

That way you can easily drag and drop things between Excel and Word. There’s almost no need to carry around a big laptop at that point.

Plus, its new taskbar makes it easy to switch between commonly used programs

It even offers turn-by-turn satellite navigation so you won’t get lost.

There are even customizable displays to give you a compass and alerts for when the sun will set.

Costing $229, they boast Hi-Fi 24-bit audio to give enhanced depth to the music you’re listening to.

Its active noise cancellation is also improved by 40 percent and automatically compensates for ambient noise.
