This Telsa Cybertruck owner has broken down his monthly insurance payments in a viral TikTok and his followers have been left stunned.

The Cybertruck isn’t a cheap thrill. Brand-new, these supreme EV pickup trucks come in at six figures, and while many of the well-off owners have claimed it’s worth every penny.

But those who scrimped and saved have been left fighting a losing battle with insurance providers.

Despite cutting down on running costs with low EV charging rates, one Cybertruck owner has left his followers aghast by revealing his monthly insurance fees.

Tesla Cybertruck owner reveals shockingly low insurance

Telsa Insurance is quite hard to come by. The company has only managed to find discounts for its EV insurance in a handful of states throughout the US, leaving the rest out in the cold.

Of course, that means the insurance firms have hiked the prices. Although this is also due to expensive and bespoke parts for cars like the Cybertruck.

But this particular 2024 Cybertruck owner has now revealed his insurance costs.

And it left his followers in shock.

Why? Because it’s incredibly low.

TikTok user @jf.okay revealed that he has just $222 in monthly payments for his three cars. They include a $100k 2024 Cybertruck Foundation edition, a $70k Ford Mustang Mach-E, and a $40k camper van.

Commenters couldn’t hold back on their surprise, with one claiming the Mach-E alone costs them more.

“I don’t have a Tesla but I have a Mustang Mach E and I pay $330,” one person said.

“When you said it’s less than we would expect, I still said way more than it was that’s crazy,” another added.

A third person revealed how much their single Model Y costs in New York – a state without Tesla Insurance. You won’t be surprised to learn it was significantly higher.

“I pay $350 just for my Model Y. Tesla insurance isn’t available in NY,” they said.

It pays to have the Tesla policy

Weirdly, the Cybertruck has proven to be the cheapest Tesla model to insure, with its heightened buying price appealing to a more experienced level of driver.

It certainly helps to be in a state with Tesla Insurance, just as one woman found when she moved to a city without coverage and was hit with a huge bill.

Some people even go as far as to sell their Cybertruck if they’re moving out of state.

This particular man appears to have hit the jackpot with his coverage, though, which he must have accrued with an exemplary driving record over the years.

That’s just one of many ways to bring your monthly payments down.
