Tesla Cybertruck was turned into a solar panel with a $10,000 wrap that extends its range

  • The Tesla Cybertruck has been overhauled and given a solar panel makeover
  • The solar panels enable the vehicle to produce 1.5kW of solar power.
  • The makeover came at a price of $10,000 and comes complete with a battery of 5kW.

A Tesla Cybertruck has been overhauled and turned into one big mass solar panel.

Sunflare Solar has managed to wrap the whole entirety of the car.

The wrapped truck will cleverly emit up to 1.5kw of solar power.

The panels cost approximately $10,000 and put a new twist on the Cybertruck.

One clever company has managed to wrap an entire Tesla Cybertruck in solar panels.

Sunflare Solar, a Californian solar cell developer has taken environmentally friendly to a whole new level, with the truck being able to produce a whole lot of power.

The car’s solar panels are cleverly driven by a battery located onboard the vehicle and the results are impressive.

The grey solar panels are ‘thin and plasticky’ and cover the whole surface of the outside of the car.

The wrap has given the vehicle more range and produces up to 1.5kW of solar power.

What are the benefits?

The added use of solar panels to the Tesla means it is increasingly environmentally friendly.

It also makes the Cybertruck to be able to go off grid.

The whole solar wrap comes with a massive five kW battery inverter, which enables energy to be pumped into the Cybertruck.

How effective are the solar panels?

The panels provide more energy but this extra energy should not be relied on solely.

The energy will not be enough alone to survive on.

It can be valuable, but users should also be aware that other power will be needed.

What other features does this Tesla Cybertruck have?

The Cybertruck is claimed by Musk to be ‘bulletproof’.

The claim is accurate – but only on the smaller designs of the Tesla.

And, for those wanting a bit more bag for their buck when purchasing the vehicle, look no further.

The Cybertruck has a built-in bottle opener.

There is a piece of metal located on the truck bed which could be mistaken for a much more mundane feature.

But now, it’s even removable too, taking the versatility of Elon’s creation to the next handy level.

Ir is already part of the Foundation Series but can also be purchased for a mere $25.

Will this be a feature in future?

Previously Tesla said that solar cells would be nestled inside the tonneau cover.

But, as of yet there has not been a Cybertruck that has offered solar options.

And, even a year after the launch- there’s no word either.
