This Tesla driver was confident that his electric car was a fast mover, so he decided to challenge a Lamborghini to see which was quicker.

Tesla cars are known to be powerful, but a Lamborghini boasting a V12 engine is enough to give any vehicle a run for its money.

So in a bid for one driver to take the crown, both sped off into the sunset.

However, there could only be one winner, and it went how you’d expect.

This Tesla driver was boasting about his EV

When it comes to EVs, Tesla is considered the dominating force, and one driver embodied that through and through.

In footage shared by speedpov, what they claim to be is a white Tesla Plaid pulled up next to a V12 Lamborghini in traffic.

“Yo, let’s race, my Tesla’s faster,” said the driver.

So, to test that bold claim, the cars set off to see which was faster.

And, once other gearheads caught sight of the cars online, they simply had to comment as they thought it wasn’t actually a Plaid, but a different model of the EV brand instead.

“That’s a Model Y, not a PLAID. That Lambo would not stand a chance against a real PLAID,” said one user.

“Tesla is quick, not fast,” said another car fan

“That isn’t a plaid, it’s a Y, not even performance. But still fast,” said a third gearhead

As you can imagine, the race went one very obvious way

“Who said a Lambo can’t beat a Plaid?” said the driver of the V12.

As you can imagine, the Lamborghini was faster than the Tesla this time, as the engine sounds roared.

The V12 engine is no ordinary engine – the clever piece of machinery is highly regarded in the automotive world since its 350 GT debut in the 1960s.

So, it’s not hard to see why the V12 won this time.

Even without the V12, you have to admit that Tesla makes powerful cars. In fact, a Model S Plaid dragged a 1,500hp monster Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, which ended in a surprising result.
