Tesla continues to position itself at the epicentre of America’s car industry.
The premier EV brand has endured a tough start to 2025.
Despite its struggles, the brand continues to be headline news on a daily basis.
But this time, Tesla might finally be main-eventing the news for a positive reason.
Fremont, California, is home to one of Tesla’s largest manufacturing plants.
Interestingly, it’s home to production for the Model 3 and the Model Y.
This fact will become very important later on in today’s story.

For what feels like an eternity, Tesla fans have eagerly awaited the new, affordable range.
Despite the amount of speculation, details about the affordable EV have always been few and far between.
Rumors have consistently suggested that this affordable model would be an entirely new range.
However, reports from China have more recently indicated a stripped-down version of the Model 3/Y.
Remember we said that the Fremont facility being the home of the Model 3/Y is important?
That is because today’s story comes from the Fremont factory – and it concerns those two models.
The YouTube channel Met God in Wilderness recently uploaded a video.
And the video in question shows drone footage overlooking the Tesla factory in Fremont.
Footage from the video managed to capture something very interesting.
It showed a partially covered Tesla that appeared to be undergoing testing.
The footage isn’t conclusive, but it appears to be some sort of Model Y variation.
If this is the case, then some of the rumors might appear to be true.
Some people online have speculated whether this could be a Model 3 hatchback.
Like most of these things, only time will tell and reveal all.
