Jay Leno’s garage once played host to The Beast.
The legendary presenter managed to get a first-hand view of the President’s limousine.
But the iconic transport remains shrouded in secrecy.
Secret Service agents even had to explain why they couldn’t let him look inside.

Jay Leno meets The Beast
Jay Leno is no stranger to the greatest and rarest things on four wheels.
But this Cadillac takes that standard to a whole new level.
In a YouTube video from 2024, Jay Leno managed to wrangle a look at The Beast.
Steve Abel, Protective Armored Specialist, and Jay Nasworthy, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Presidential Protective Division, brought the limousine to Leno.

But they had to ask everyone inside to keep their distance.
Of course, such a special vehicle remains a closely-guarded secret.
And the Secret Service duo weren’t allowed to reveal much in the way of details.
What they could say is that the dashboard is similar to that of the Cadillac Escalade.

Size of the President’s car is hard to believe
Nasworthy explained how stressful the job of protecting the President is on a daily basis is.
In fairness, it can’t be easy looking back and seeing the leader of the free world in the back seat.
The agents explain that anywhere the President goes, The Beast goes with him.
When that involves overseas travel, at least two units travel onboard a C17 to ensure that they are part of the itinerary.
Leno remarks at the size of the overall vehicle itself; it is absolutely enormous.

The run-flat tires are comparable to truck tires in scale.
It is reported that The Beast weighs up to 20,000lbs.
The powertrain remains a secret, but it is suspected to be an enormous 8.1-liter V8.
Then there is the extensive amount of armor and bulletproof glass.
Each unit of the President’s limo reportedly costs roughly $1,500,000.
Unfortunately, this is one car that Jay Leno doesn’t get the privilege of testing out himself.
But he does get to see The Beast get loaded onto the plane for the next journey made by the President.
