The latest special-edition Bugatti Chiron – the Grand Prix – has finally made its public debut at Top Marques Monaco – a full six months after it was first revealed.

The one-off Chiron Grand Prix is based on the Pur Sport, which goes for about $3.6 million.

So with all the customizations, the price of the Grand Prix is somewhere north of that!

Its first appearance is at the most exclusive car show in the world, which is run by none other than Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The Chiron Grand Prix draws heavily on the Bugatti Type 35 and 51 racing cars of the 1920s and 1930s.

Those cars were most notably driven by Louis Chiron – the model’s namesake – who was famous for racing with the number 32 on the side of his car.

The same racing number is hand-painted on the sides of the Chiron Grand Prix, as well as being stitched into the seat headrests.

There are other hand-painted details on the outside as well, with the ‘EB’ motif on the front fenders also applied by hand.

Of course, the body is finished in the same pale blue paint as the Type 35 and 51 for good measure.

A special center console inlay also features a hand-painted inscription, with the panel finished in black anodized aluminum.

‘Grand Prix’ motifs also feature on the door sills and entry lights among other places.

It’s this type of bespoke customization you can expect to see more of from Bugatti’s ‘Sur Mesure’ team.

Created to meet the growing customer demand for unique and individual designs, the team comprises Bugatti’s finest bodyworkers, painters, and upholsterers.

The Bugatti Chiron Grand Prix will be on display at Top Marques Monaco from June 9-12.

The car show has some of the biggest names in supercars showing off the latest and greatest in automotive.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on everything that comes out of the Top Marques Monaco, and bring you all the latest news.
