Tesla cars are some of the most innovative and high-tech in the world.
The entire range comes with some truly sophisticated features.
Before being lifted, Tesla cars need to be set up in Jack Mode.
And there is a very important and interesting reason why.

By now, you are probably aware of some of Tesla’s most high-tech features.
The EV giant’s cars are controlled from a giant touchscreen tablet in the center console.
The Model X, for example, features gullwing doors that open and close upon command.
Other Tesla models have also been known to come with ‘Dance Mode’.
Today’s focus, however, is on a different aspect of the brand’s high-tech software.
Like every other car in the world, Teslas do, on occasion, break down.

This means that they occasionally require maintenance and servicing.
As part of its settings, the EVs come with several different mode options on screen.
One of those options is a thing called Jack Mode.’
It’s especially important if your Tesla comes equipped with air suspension.
The Model X, the Model S, and the Cybertruck come with air suspension equipped.
If you try to lift your EV before putting it in ‘Jack Mode’, the consequences can be serious.
For one thing, the system management computer will freak out.

The suspension will then try to self-level to compensate for the wheels not touching the ground.
As a result, the air springs onboard will then over-inflate.
It could cause one or more airbags to deploy, causing a lot of damage, both literally and to your wallet.
Once your car is in Jack Mode, it can then be lifted and fixed according to its needs.
Just make sure the Jack Mode is in place before you do.
Your wallet, airbags, and interior will thank you.
