Activating your fast-food habits, keeping your business life rolling, and mapping out meteorology with live scans, these bizarre Apple CarPlay apps might actually change your entire driving experience.
In the last few months alone, Apple CarPlay has pulled out some big moves as it hopes to cling to its control as the main infotainment system.
Recent additions like AppleTV have changed car users’ habits to stream Formula 1 and movie action from a stationary car.
But with apps like Waze now changing drivers’ outlook on the infotainment software, there are actually a number of wild apps that can change your experience for the better.

Dunkin’ Donuts, Chick-fil-A & Domino’s Pizza
Kicking things off with a delicious lick of the lips is a trio of fast food apps from Domino’s Pizza, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Chick-fil-A.
These apps allow users to find local stores when the munchies are munching, and can even place orders just by tapping on the screen.
Although they don’t support Live Activities, you can track your order all the way to its collection point, timing your arrival to perfection to get that crunch of the crust or to make sure your wings haven’t gone sloppy.

Microsoft Teams
Nothing says road trip turn-off like a call from the boss. But that’s the wicked way of business, and at least you can be prepared for meetings on the road with Microsoft Teams.
The app displays your calendar and allows you to tune into conferences through its audio application.

Calm
Road rage is a serious issue for a lot of drivers, so why not channel that energy into peace of mind with one of the most zen Apple CarPlay apps?
Calm is a meditation app that can play soothing tunes or have a life coach take you through breathing exercises.
It might just stop you from flipping the birds at that knucklehead who just pulled out on you.

Major League Baseball
Every sports fan knows that annoying itch to be kept up to date with the scores, while your partner refuses to allow the broadcast on the radio.
So as she’s jamming out to Swifty on the radio, you can now stay up-to-date with live action baseball through the MLB app, full of live score updates and news bulletins.

MyRadar
One of the most interesting apps on the App Store is MyRadar, which could change how you use maps forever.
Watching how the weather chases you around the world, this GPS system tracks the meteorology around you, showing how storms, snow, and floods can impact your route.

Apple CarPlay apps keep on innovating
The software isn’t slowing down, though, and more apps will be released on CarPlay in the coming weeks.
Specifically, in the same way that Grok is powering Tesla, Apple is set to implement a new AI feature that pushes ChatGPT and Google Gemini into the passenger seat.
All of this comes in the wait for CarPlay Ultra, which could continue to revolutionize how we drive.
But for now, enjoy checking in on the baseball scores with a Dunkin’ Donut in hand.
