This stunning 1961 Lincoln Continental is probably more attention-grabbing than its famous former owner.

The beautiful burgundy-colored classic is a real piece of automotive history.

With its sleek lines, gleaming chrome, and trademark ‘suicide doors,’ the car is a real head-turner.

In fact, we’d go as far as to say that it’s even more of a talking point than its famous former owner, actor Daniel Wu.

The Lincoln Continental is in incredible condition

When you think of all-American automobiles, few cars have as clear a pedigree as the Lincoln Continental

US icon Elvis Presley even gave the car his seal of approval in the 1950s, spending $10,000 – a huge sum at the time—to get his hands on one.

Fast-forward a few decades and American Born Chinese star Wu became the proud owner of this jaw-dropping 1961 example.

Despite its age, the car is in absolute pristine condition, thanks to a full restoration job in the 1990s and dedicate care and attention since.

According to Wu, who decided to part ways with the car in 2020, the Lincoln is an original West Coast car presented in its original Black Cherry color with less than 48,000 miles on the odometer.

Its low mileage – and perfect presentation – can be partly credited to the fact that the Lincoln had just three owners prior to Wu.

Owner Daniel Wu made some modifications to the car

After Wu took possession of the Lincoln, he carried out a couple of modifications, adding an AccuAir ride suspension system and custom 20 inch billet wheels.

While some purists may balk at the very idea of such a classic being modified, it’s fair to say the changes were tasteful and have added to the overall appeal of the car.

The new wheels in particular are a bit of a highlight.

Its lowered stance, low mileage, and near-mint condition mean this Lincoln is a real showstopper and we can only imagine that Wu was sad to see it go.

Nonetheless, he sold the car via auction in August 2022.

Here’s hoping it went to a good home and continues to turn heads when it’s out and about on the road.
