It’s not out of the ordinary to see a black car, but this Porsche 911 is on another level of darkness.

KoPro’s Musou Black is reportedly the darkest shade of black acrylic paint on the market, absorbing up to 99.6% of inbound light.

The Japanese company Pit One Customs put it onto a Porsche 911 to see how it would look, and the internet was very impressed.

Traditional black paint is reflective, with between 94 and 98 percent of incoming light being absorbed – leaving between 2 and 6 percent being reflected.

However, with a car using Musou Black paint, less than 1 percent of light is being reflected.

That makes for a seriously dark car.

In the video showing its transformation, the car is shown driving around the streets of Tokyo.

At night, it’s darker the road it drives along, and it doesn’t appear any lighter when appearing in daylight.

When the headlights and glass are taped over during the painting process, the car looks like the silhouette of a car.

The internet reacts

Ironically, the car stood out for viewers, and many took to the YouTube comments of Pit One Customs to share their thoughts.

One fan commented: “It’s supposed to be black enough to be hidden in the darkness, but the way it stands out and runs is so cool!”

Another gushed: “My eyes were glued to the alien atmosphere, which felt strange in a good way, as if it had jumped out of Gran Turismo into reality.”

Many admitted they thought the car was CGI.

There was a great sense of wonder in the comments section, as many could not believe their own eyes.

It’s nice to remember how cars can make us feel on a human level.

Speaking of Porsches, this Canadian millionaire had his business partner – and the internet – feeling super emotional when he gifted him a Porsche GT4.
