This Jeep Grand Wagoneer is more armor than car, as renowned customization house Apocalypse6x6 has added its signature Kevlar upgrade and packed it with a whopping V8 Hemi engine.

The Grand Wagoneer is by no means the scarcest Jeep in the world.

In fact, it’s usually more of a grocery hauler than a true off-road machine.

But not this one, as a massive overhaul and a ton of armor make this Wagoneer the ultimate old-school beast.

This is no ordinary Jeep

Over the years, as the Jeep wavered in and out of fashion and ultimately became a vintage brand, many people have taken the iconic blueprint and made some incredible custom cars.

Whether it be satirically wide jeeps, or behemoth $84k upgrades, the Jeep itself has birthed some fantastic offspring sparked by mechanical imaginations.

But this Apocalypse6x6 and SoFl Customs armor upgrade is definitely one of the fiercest that we’ve ever laid eyes on.

Built on top of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, this beast of a vehicle is what off-road dreams are made of.

Instantly, its evident that the Jeep has been kitted out with a massive lift kit white brings out the pearly-white in its eyes.

The tantalizingly bright ‘Kevlar’ armored coating is a staple of its tuners – Apocalypse Manufacturing and SoFlo Customs – and has been sported on a range of its other vehicles like the ‘Warlord 2.0’.

Jeep Grand Wagoneer gets a modern makeover in armored upgrade

What’s arguably the most impressive part of the Apocalypse6x6 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is what’s on the inside – both under the hood and its interior.

Many of the gargantuan builds by the Florida tuners have worked with V6 engines, but this particular build has a 392 Hemi V8, which ‘shunts out 520 raging horses’.

SoFlo Customs – the spinoff from Apocalypse, who partnered on this car, also detailed a string of modern tech that went into this restomod.

“Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, backup camera, ABS brakes, cold a/c, power windows, traction control, power steering, and much more,” have been added, they said.

Now that’s what we call music to our ears.

Its not the first Jeep that Apolcoypse has made, though, as its ‘Gladiator’ custom build is a six-wheeled monster that really harnesses its manufacturer’s name as an end-of-the-world combatant.

As for original Jeeps, Stellantis revealed that seven new concepts are being put through the factory floor in a bid to pair nostalgia with modern tech, akin to the above Grand Wagoneer.
