The jaw-dropping one-of-one Bugatti Golden Era took a staggering 400 hours to paint.
The Golden Era is a one-of-a-kind Chiron Super Sport.
It was commissioned back in 2021, but wasn’t delivered until 2023 thanks to its unique customizations.
The incredible design includes dozens of hand-drawn sketches that celebrate the history of the carmaker.

The one-of-one Bugatti Golden Era is a real-head turner
The stunning Golden Era began life as a stock Chiron Super Sport, that was given a completely unique twist thanks to the Sur Mesure customization program.
The unknown owner waited two years to get his hands on the car, but it’s safe to say it was absolutely worth the wait.

The customer had reached out to the marque with a very clear idea in mind, and the luxury automaker was more than happy to make the dream a reality.
The car was unveiled at Montery Car Week 2023, where then-design director Achim Anscheidt revealed what the mystery customer had wanted.
“Our customer expressed that he believed the Chiron Super Sport and the W16 engine represented a landmark moment in the world of the automobile,” he said.
“He wanted to do something truly unique in celebration.”
And that’s exactly what he got.
The exterior of the Golden Era incorporates 45 hand-drawn sketches featuring iconic vehicles from the marque, like the Type 41 Royale and the Type 57 SC Atlantic, as well as a detailed drawing of the W16 engine.

The paintwork is a bespoke shade of gold known as Doré, alongside a metallic version of the carmaker’s Nocturne Black.
Inside, there’s a two-toned tan and black leather interior finished with Golden Era stitching and one-of-one motifs, as well as more hand-drawn sketches on the inside door panel.
The Bugatti Golden Era took 400 man-hours to complete.
Bugatti customers are happy to splash the cash to get a unique car
While any Bugatti is a truly luxurious purchase, CEO Mate Rimac revealed that the marque’s client base likes to go all out when it comes to customization and personalization.

Speaking last year, Rimmac said the average buyer spends a staggering €500,000 ($525,025) on customizations.
“We have special programs that we do with our customers, so the cars are becoming more and more customized,” he told Top Gear.
“Every car is actually really special. We are currently at half a million euros of customization per car.”
