This top analyst has claimed that Tesla’s self-driving tech is untouchable.

And he is adamant that the tech is unlike anything else.

Andrew Percoco provides coverage of Tesla stock for Morgan Stanley.

And Percoco is adamant that Tesla’s self-driving tech is head and shoulders above the rest.

Morgan Stanley analyst on Tesla’s self-driving tech

Tesla’s self-driving tech is at the forefront of automotive technology and innovation.

There’s a strong argument that it’s the most well-known example of the hardware.

But one person has gone even further in his analysis of the tech.

And he is insistent that nothing else comes close.

Andrew Percoco is the new analyst in charge of covering Tesla stock at Morgan Stanley.

He recently took over coverage from Adam Jonas, who filled the role for years.

Percoco has been given the reins of Tesla stock, while Jonas now covers embodied AI stocks.

And his first note regarding the company stock is very insightful.

His note highlights the sheer dominance of the EV giant’s self-driving tech.

“It’s not even close,” Percoco notes.

“Tesla continues to lead in autonomous driving, even as Nvidia rolls out new technology aimed at helping other automakers build driverless systems.”

Why does Percoco have so much belief in the EV giant?

So what is the reason for Andrew Percoco’s confidence?

His main reasoning is Tesla’s ability to collect large amounts of training data through its massive fleet.

This is down, of course, to the millions of Tesla EVs currently operating on the roads.

And this is the crux of Andrew Percoco’s viewpoint.

Data is clearly king, and Tesla is the king of having access to data.

It appears that the biggest emerging rival to Tesla’s self-driving tech is NVIDIA.

Over the past week, NVIDIA announced the launch of its own self-driving tech called Alpamayo.

But it almost appears to be irrelevant.

Percoco’s viewpoint is that NVIDIA’s announcement does not affect Morgan Stanley’s views on the strengths of Tesla in the self-driving arena.

It will be interesting to see if Tesla’s self-driving tech remains king.
