A Texan towing company got called out to rescue a Ram 3500 which had gotten flooded at the beach.

They say everything’s bigger in Texas, but that doesn’t mean the rules of nature don’t apply.

Officials in Brazoria County, Texas asked for the truck to be towed off the beach and to a yard.

However, getting the Ram off the sand was no day at the beach.

How this group rescued a Ram 3500 from the water

It wasn’t just the towing company tasked with these rescue – a volunteer group who specialize in off-road recoveries were also on-hand.

The tow-truck driver found that they weren’t all too prepared however.

Video of the operation was shared by the tow-trucker on his YouTube channel Towtruck Dustin.

When Dustin first arrived on the beach, he found the volunteers struggling to get the winch on one Jeep to work.

Pulling the truck out of wet sand was as hard as it sounds.

Dustin explained that the washes were moving the sand beneath the tires, at which point it sank further and further.

But things worked out in the end, as it took two Jeeps to get the Ram out of the water.

Mission accomplished.

Water and trucks – not a good mix

It’s not clear how the owner of this Ram got themselves stuck.

They could have been too cocky about their truck’s capabilities, or simply unaware of the risks.

However it happened, there’s a lesson in there for all of us.

We may think we have an unstoppable truck on our hands, but Mother Nature will have the final say.

This isn’t the first time a truck has found itself stalled in a body of water.

Even in seemingly shallow water, it can be a risky maneuver to attempt a water crossing – as this heavily modified truck found out.

In Boston, Massachussetts, cars faced similar trials and tribulations when a tunnel was flooded with 3 feet of water.

But not all trucks are doomed to this fate – the Tesla Cybertruck didn’t disappoint when YouTuber Taras Maksimuk drove it through a deep puddle.

We say ‘deep puddle’, but ‘mini river’ might have been a better descriptor.

But there you have it, man versus nature is not a fight we can always expect to win.
