This guy took his Toyota Hilux to Utah to test it on the most challenging terrain imaginable in a series of durability tests.
The YouTuber is known for pushing vehicles to the limits and this Toyota Hilux was really put through its paces.
He tested the Hilux on a dangerously steep terrain with the sinister name ‘Hell’s Gate’.
The truck ended up with a massive issue that could have caused disaster for the plucky adventurer – and he was shocked to see the result.

The Toyota Hilux on the most challenging terrain imaginable
Cody Detwiler, better known online as WhistlinDiesel, alongside his video partner Matt McGuire are infamous for putting their vehicles through their paces.
In fact, they love pushing them pretty much to breaking point, particularly when small vehicles end up being crushed under the wheels of a monster truck.
Cody was desperate to try and break the Toyota Hilux that he’d already previously put through hell.
So he decided to take it to Moab, Utah, to test it out on the most challenging terrain imaginable.
The sharp jagged rocks and almost sheer drops and vertical inclines of the area, scarily named Hell’s Gate were seen as appropriate nemeses of the, up until now, completely indestructible Toyota Hilux.
When Cody set off on the challenging terrain, the Hilux persevered with absolutely no issues.
Well… almost no issues, apart from the front end slightly lowering due to bending leaf springs.
Suddenly dealing with a huge issue
While the Hilux easily climbed the steepest inclines and flew over bumps, the hood popped and was comically flapping around.
The worst was yet to come for the YouTuber, though.
After successfully completing Hell’s Gate, the radiator fan gave out and the boiling Utah heat became oppressive.
Instead of stopping to see what the issue was, the YouTuber decided to just use airflow from extremely high speeds to keep cool.
In true WhistlinDiesel fashion, they chose the most extreme solution to their radiator problem.
Cody teased that the Toyota Hilux may finally be finished by their next test in another video.
They’re going to drop it from 10,000 feet.
