Toyota is not exactly messing around when it comes to expansion plans for its range, with plans to build two new EVs in Kentucky, US, based on the Land Cruiser and the RAV4.
The Japanese brand is currently the largest automotive manufacturer in the world.
And Toyota appears to be ramping up plans to expand its production in the United States.
It’s on US soil that it will pay homage to the iconic Land Cruiser and the RAV4.

Toyota reshuffle could produce not one, but two new EVs
Toyota has been teasing the global car market with an EV Land Cruiser since 2023.
However, the Japanese giants have still not released anything concrete about plans to actually produce it.
But that might just be about to change, if reports are to be believed.
A report from Japanese outlet Nikkei suggests that Toyota might be about to change plans.
It suggests that the car giant might consolidate its production facilities in the U.S.

This is mostly in response to high tariffs implemented by the current U.S. administration.
But it appears that this reshuffle might be about to bring about two new EVs.
The Japanese automaker confirmed to media outlet Reuters that two new, three-row EVs are coming.
Land Cruiser and RAV4 will inspire new offerings
And these new SUV offerings are going to be based on the Land Cruiser and the RAV4.
A new, three-row Land Cruiser could be a very exciting option for the U.S. market.
The Land Cruiser Se Concept, which the brand first showed off in 2023, would offer some signs of what to expect.
Unlike the current Land Cruiser, the concept EV is a very modern design – and it comes with an extra row of seats.
Similarly, an EV RAV4 could be a very interesting move for the Japanese brand in the U.S. market.

It might not be the most exciting prospect, but it is an extremely smart one.
The RAV4 is currently the third best-selling car or truck in America in 2025.
An EV alternative could go a long way to helping Toyota sell EVs to its loyal, ICE-loving base.
Where do you stand on Toyota’s plans to introduce these two new EVs for the U.S. market?
