The Tesla Cybertruck finally has Full Self-Driving (FSD) almost a year after its release and these truck experts took it off-roading in Colorado to see it also works on rough terrain.

Tesla FSD is capable of accelerating, braking, changing lanes, and making left and right turns among other things.

But how does it perform when we leave the road and go somewhere off the track?

Well, these guys decided to put that to the test, and here are the results.

Tesla Cybertruck off-roading with FSD

The folks over at TFLoffroad took the Tesla Cybertruck to a rough terrain.

Normally, the EV truck should feel at home with its high clearance, air suspension, and all-terrain tires.

However, it isn’t going for a normal ride today.

The Cybertruck FSD was performing quite well on a bumpy uphill road until it decided to stop and ask the driver to take over several times.

But to be fair the road was covered with fog so it could have easily confused the system.

After the fog dissipates, the Tesla Cybertruck begins driving down the uneven road at 9 mph, a bit fast for a road like this.

Tesla FSD on a rocky trail

The Cybertruck FSD system also didn’t seem to mind the rocks or branches and drove right over them.

However, the pickup truck was losing traction so the team stopped to air down the tires.

The Tesla Cybertruck could easily perform turns on the trail despite no markings.

However, it stopped when it sensed a branch close to the trail.

The pickup also ran into a lot of potholes and bumps in the road but managed itself.

On one occasion, the Tesla Cybertruck was climbing a rather steep incline on an uneven road.

But despite that, it managed quite well.

All of this seems quite hopeful since Elon Musk has also claimed that unsupervised FSD will be available next year.

But that doesn’t mean you don’t pay attention to the road.
