Man buys $66K house and then goes on to spend $1.3M on unreal car collection

Edwin and Will from Collecting Cars met an absolute legend in the UK – a man with a ‘cheap’ house but a car collection worth a fortune that includes a Lamborghini Diablo and a Ferrari 512 TR.

The collector has his priority straight: cars first, everything else next.

His collection is worth around $1.3 million.

And it also includes a forgotten legend.

That Ferrari is spectacular

Edwin and Will from the Collecting Cars YouTube channel traveled to Rotherham, which is actually not far from where automotive legend Jeremy Clarkson was born, to talk to James.

No, not James May, but another James.

James lives in a humble $66,000 home, but has a car collection worth around $1.3 million.

The collection features, among others, two Ferraris, two Lambos, and a custom-built iteration of a half-forgotten icon, the Lotus Carlton.

He also owns an Alpine A610, another Lotus Carlton, a Range Rover Classic, and the ultra-famous SG54 LAM Murciélago – the highest-mileage Lamborghini in the world, with over 300,000 miles on the clock.

His other ‘bull’ is a Lamborghini Diablo SV, sitting alongside his two Ferraris.

One of the cars is a Ferrari F430 Scuderia, and the other is a stunning Ferrari 512 TR in Blu Chiaro with a full-red interior.

Who needs a bigger house when you have all these beauties parked in the garage?

There’s another James who’s done something similar with his car collection

Now, these guys filmed the video in the UK but there’s another collector on the other side of the pond that’s done something very similar.

TheStradman – whose real name is also James – built his YouTube channel about supercars and, more to the point, about his love for nothing else but cars.

A lot of collectors occasionally ‘spill over’ into other luxury things and start buying watches, real estate, or maybe even yachts and jets.

But James never did that.

By his own admission, he only cares about cars.

James lives in a relatively normal house in Utah, but he owns around $4 million worth of supercars.

At the time of writing, he owns a Bugatti Veyron, a twin-turbo Lamborghini Aventador, and even a custom Jeep 6×6, among others.
