US man owns Tesla Cybertruck and Model X but only one could be his daily driver

  • The Cybertruck and Tesla Model X both have their good points
  • But for Everyday Chris, he wanted to compare which one was more family friendly
  • Ultimately, only one vehicle could come out on top

This US man owns both a Tesla Cybertruck and a Model X, but only one could be his daily driver.

YouTuber Everyday Chris branded both ‘amazing cars’ but there had to be a superior one out of the two.

In particular, Chris wanted to look at which of the two cars was better for families.

A lot had to be taken into consideration.

Comparing the Tesla Model X and Cybertruck

Everyday Chris has done a lot of content on Teslas.

He previously looked at what would happen if a EV was left parked for 30 days, with interesting results.

In another video, he did some number crunching to determine whether switching to a Model Y from a gas car had saved him money.

In this video, it was two EVs he was pitting against each – a Cybertruck and a Model X.

We’ve seen Teslas compared and contrasted before, but Chris was measuring the cars on slightly different metrics.

His main point of focus would be on which car was better suited for family life.

Right off the bat, he compared them on the daily struggle that all parents face – getting the kid out of the back seat.

On this one, the X is the runaway winner, thanks to its falcon wing doors.

It makes it a lot easier to remove the baby from the car, without having to worry about bumping any surrounding cars.

“That alone makes the Tesla Model X so good for families,” Chris said.

Point one for the Model X.

Which model came out on top?

Child safety was the next item on the agenda.

How badly could a kid’s fingers be hurt if they got trapped in the door of a Cybertruck?

Thanks to a ‘carrot test’, we saw the results – they were pretty stark.

But the same thing happened with the Model X.

Chris concluded: “Doors are doors, the force at which you close will cause injury or severely hurt you.

“I will have to hand it to the Model X…because the doors are lighter, it doesn’t take quite as much force to close. If you did jam your door, it wouldn’t hurt quite as badly.”

When it comes to fitting strollers into the cars, both cars flop when it comes to the frunks.

But they both pass with flying colors on the trunks, particularly the Cybertruck.

With more room in the Cybertruck, it won on this round.

For having more options with the seating, the X won the next round – although Chris conceded that the Cybertruck was still plenty wide.

“Overall, if you have more kids, the Model X just seems more practical to have,” he concluded.

“The Cybertruck is definitely still child friendly.”
