This DoorDash worker decided to test the trade and app like never before, by seeing if making $300 per day was really possible.

With the unpredictable reality of orders coming in and distances traveled to deliver, earning a set wage per day was difficult to determine.

So, on one of the busiest weekends of the year, this creator put the delivery app through its paces.

The results may shock you, as different times of the day proved to be more difficult than others.

This man tried to make big bucks with DoorDash

In the US, DoorDash is one of the most popular food delivery apps, and it allows drivers to choose when they want to work, instead of rigid shift times.

So, to see if it was really possible to make $300 per day on the app, YouTuber Nuggs put the app to the test.

He carried out the experiment twice, across two days, and the results of each DoorDash workday were vastly different.

His theory was simple: he would only accept orders that were $1 per mile, and slowly increased this at peak times.

At first, the shift was slow, and when orders did pick up at peak times, the reality of the situation really set in. Wait times at restaurants were long, and drives back from rural areas accumulated lots of miles.

All in all, he earned $242.94, with a profit of just $203.23 when factoring in expenses.

So, for the second try at the $300 DoorDash challenge, things changed.

Was the $300 goal really possible?

The second attempt took place on Super Bowl Sunday, and the creator was ahead of pace after a number of hours.

Some orders even had additional fees added to them, and he managed to hit the $300 mark with ease, and didn’t even notice the success.

The end result?

It is possible to hit $300 per day, working long hours, if you avoid filming and wasting time setting up the camera, plus increase your dollar per mile target during busy periods.

Attempt two ended up earning $324.50, meaning the profit was $276.74 after taking off expenses.

This does, however, vary by what area you work in, and ultimately, it’s best for earning extra cash part-time, not full-time, due to the unpredictable factors involved.
