This Apple dumpster dive cost one creator $2,500, but the contents may leave you puzzled.
Risking being scammed, this brave creator took a leap of faith when it came to sourcing herself some new Apple products.
The unconventional method of a dumpster dive purchase landed her with a parcel full to the brim of products from the company.
However, things weren’t quite as they seemed when unboxing commenced, with the authenticity leaving a lot to be desired.

This Apple dumpster dive costs more than a new iPhone 17
Tech giant Apple has a huge array of products on offer, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and AirPods.

So to see what she could get for $2,500, YouTuber Sarah Grace decided to browse eBay for a bag of goodies, and found a listing of ‘Apple dumpster dive rare finds’ that was guaranteed to have Apple inside.
“Did I actually just buy $2500 for a bag of trash? I might have just done that,” she said as she got to work exploring.
At first, all Sarah Grace seemed to retrieve was empty box after empty box, and her hope started to dwindle.
Her luck did seem to pick up, though, as an iPhone 6S in working condition appeared after lots of empty boxes were opened.

Another pink iPhone 13 also came out of the trash bag, but it was cracked and in a sorry state, which was less than ideal.

As time went on, the Apple products multiplied
After a slightly rocky start, Sarah Grace’s luck grew, and more products started to be unboxed.
An iPad and another working iPhone 13 Pro also appeared, but this conjured up questions on the authenticity of the bag, with the iPhone still having someone’s details on it.

From an Apple Pencil worth over $100 to an iPad Air that fully worked, things were looking up, and she was starting to make her money back, with her profit slowly multiplying.
Instead of just a box or an AirPod case, a whole working pair of AirPod Pros was found, alongside an AppleWatch strap and more wired earphones.
Throughout the whole ordeal, though, we should note that the creator was skeptical as she raised the question of ‘would Apple really chuck out perfectly fine products?’.
The ultimate takeaway?
When dumpster diving and sourcing products online, you should always approach these things with extreme caution. Because you just never know what you’ll get.
In the end, after adding up the value of each product, the total came to around $1,705.99.
So, it wasn’t quite $2,500, but it was over half of the value, so not all hope was lost.
And with two bags full of boxes, at least she can store the products safely.
