This US YouTuber attempted burnout in a supercharged limo, but everything went wrong.

Cleetus McFarland took a 1957 Bel Air Limo and turned it into a Big Block Limo powered by a 1,500hp engine.

You don’t usually think of tons of power when you think of limousines, but McFarland likes to think outside the box.

Unfortunately, this idea didn’t quite pan out as he’d hoped.

This US YouTuber supercharged a limo and attempted burnout – but it all went wrong

McFarland picked the Chevy limo back in November, after finding it on Facebook Marketplace.

According to the owner, the 1957 Chevy limousine was 140 inches (356cm) long.

Although the listing had the vehicle priced at $10,000, McFarland managed to negotiate it down to $9,900.

Months later, the car was in a position to attempt a burnout.

Now, we know what you’re thinking.

“Doing a burnout on a supercharged limo? That doesn’t sound right.”

And it’d certainly be understandable for you to think that. After all, these cars are usually considered the height of sophistication.

Even when they have helipads or are made from a Ferrari, they manage to class up an occasion.

So, how did one do when it came time to do a burnout?

Well, it’s certainly noisy, we’ll say that much.

It was quite a sight to see that big limo burning rubber and spinning around.

But it didn’t come without a cost – namely compromised chassis components and other damages to the frame.

Not that it deterred McFarland and his crew.

Inside the extraordinary life of Cleetus McFarland

If there’s one thing you can count on McFarland and his YouTube videos, it’s that he’ll take on unexpected projects.

While he has 150 cars in his personal collection, it’s what he chooses to do with them that really gets people talking.

Trying to shatter a world record in a Chevy Spark and gifting Travis Pastrana a C8 Corvette Z06 being just two of the more notable incidents shared on his channel.
