The power of the Tesla Cybertruck grabs a lot of headlines, but this video of it launching away from lights like a Forumla 1 car is pretty breathtaking.

Filmed in California, US and uploaded by the Tesla Owners Silicon Valley to X is proof, if it were needed of the acceleration of the electric SUV – and it’s impressive.

In fact, not only does the Cybertruck accelerate at an impressive pace, it leaves all the other cars around it, including an ICE truck, in its wake.

Tesla’s original claim was the the already iconic pickup would go from 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 2.9 seconds – but a lot has changed since then.

Since its first big reveal back in 2019, to its end of 2023 reveal to it now being on the road for several months – it has a slightly smaller and lighter body than was originally promised.

Images showing record amount of Tesla’s parked together has revealed the astonishing Tesla Cybertruck production run rate.

Filmed and posted by a group member back in September 2023, this video certainly added to the hype and anticipation surrounding the unprecedented launch,

“More utility of a truck with the performance of a sports car and the look of a BBQ/ fridge/ washer/ dryer/ SpaceX rocket,” one X user said.

But as impressive as its acceleration might be, the Tesla Cybertruck appearance is failing to impress everyone.

“It has all the style and grace of Lego,” one said.

“The designer thought inside the box when making this monstrosity,” another said.

Others saw past the impressive acceleration and took issue with the truck’s design features.

“I wonder though, how visible are the turn signals and brake lights during the day? They seem kind of tiny,” he said.

Another thought the same and was clearly unimpressed.

“Look at its stupid little undersized blinker,” they said.

While the Tesla Cybertruck initially had no rivals, Fiat recently unveiled five new concept cars including Mega Panda and Cybertruck rival.

In other Tesla Cybertruck news, the EV now comes in 3 more colors one of which changes the entire look.
