Most people are familiar with Richard Mille’s iconic tonneau shape but the company also makes a different type of watch, the RM 032, which comes with a more traditional round case.
This is the latest iteration.
It’s called the ‘Les Voiles de Saint Barth’ and this being RM, it is wildly expensive: it costs $245,000.
The RM 032 is an ISO-certified diver, powered by an automatic flyback chronograph and it’s water-resistant up to 300m
As ever, Richard Mille has used all sorts of precious metals and materials to build it.
The sandblasted and PVD-coated case is made from blue and white Quartz, combined with elements in carbon and grade 5 titanium, which was also used for the movement, along with 18k white gold and ceramic.
However, Richard Mille’s attention to detail (some would use the word ‘obsession’) comes at a price: it’s $245,000.
And that’s only if you can get it – partly because only 120 units will be made – but mostly because RMs are notoriously impossible to get at retail.
But that’s an entirely different conversation.
