The $10,000 Korean-made Weped Sonic X electric scooter is one of the fastest in the world with a top speed of 80MPH (128KMH).
The Weped Sonic X is made from smooth aluminum with chunky 13-inch tires.
It’s powered by two 4kW motors – one to the front and one to the rear.
And it’s fast. Seriously fast, with a top speed of 80MPH.

The electric scooter is made in Korea
While not as popular as all-electric cars, EV scooters are seeing a bit of a surge in popularity.
New York-based start-up Infinite Machine unveiled its futuristic-looking P1 scooter last year, offering up to 55MPH (88KMH) and a range of 60 miles (96KM).

However, if you’re in the market for something a little faster than look no further than the Weped Sonic X.
The scooters are hand-made in South Korea and cost a little under $10,000 – plus shipping.
But for your money, you get a slick-looking vehicle and a whole lot of speed.
The Weped Sonic X weighs around 180lbs (80kg) and has a top speed of 80MPH – impressive for a vehicle of its size.
The scooter, which neatly folds up when not in use, has 13-inch tubeless tires, motorcycle brakes on the front and rear, and a Samsung large capacity battery that offers around 62 miles of range (100KM).
A YouTuber took one of the Weped Sonic X scooters out for a ride
It’s kitted out with a huge selection of LED lights – not just the headlights and blinkers, the whole thing lights up like a Christmas tree at the flick of a switch.
It also has a large digital display across the front where you can monitor its speed when you’re out and about.
YouTuber Sur Ronster took a Weped Sonic X out for a spin last year, and it’s fair to say he was blown away by it.
Even before he took the scooter out on the road, the YouTuber was impressed by its presence, likening it to the Cybertruck.
For his first time on the scooter, he opted to wear full motorcycle gear, which is a smart move given the speeds the Weped Sonic X can hit.
Taking it out onto the open road for the first time, Sur Ronster was impressed by how ‘controlled’ it felt, noting that even at speeds of more than 62MPH (100KMH), it still felt ‘solid’.
“This is the best feeling electric scooter I’ve ever ridden,” he said after hitting the Sonic X’s top speed.
“I actually feel confident on this thing. I feel like a truck.”
