Will Smith’s first car was a red Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z - it doesn’t get more '80s than that

Will Smith’s first car was a relatively simple, relatively inexpensive Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z – and we know this because Will Smith himself said as much.

It doesn’t get more ’80s than that.

Smith doesn’t have that car anymore, which is a shame because it must’ve looked great in apple red, the color he chose for it.

Mind you, the 56-year-old star has something even more interesting in his collection today.

Will Smith’s first car was a Chevy Camaro IROC-Z, and we know this from the horse’s mouth because the actor himself said as much in an old interview from 2015.

There are several reasons why the interview that Will Smith gave on Top Gear in 2015 keeps going viral.

The list is long, but one of the main reasons is the fact this was the first time Will Smith talked about his first car.

Not long ago, the bit of the interview where he talks about his car went viral once again after being used by a well-known betting site to advertise its business.

“My first car was an apple red Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z,” Will Smith admitted.

We don’t know when exactly he bought it, he didn’t include this bit of info.

But if we had to guess, we’d say he probably got it in the late 1980s or early 1990s, when he became a TV star pretty much overnight after playing a fictionalized version of himself on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Today, Will Smith’s car collection is a lot flashier than that.

It doesn’t actually include the Audi that he drove in I, Robot, but it features a variety of ultra-expensive cars along with a $2.5 million motorhome he often used on set.

Inside, it boasts a living space fit for a king, with 14 TVs, and is spread out across a huge area of 1,200 square feet.

There’s also a 30-person screening room, a $200,000 kitchen, and a huge bathroom, alongside a very expensive living area.

We can see why he loved it.
