This woman took to YouTube to share how she had found her first week as the owner of a Porsche 911.

Lucy On Cars was the ‘proud’ new owner of a Porsche 911 996.1 Carrera 4 and had learned the ‘surprising’ truth about her 23-year-old car.

First impressions matter, and for Lucy, the first week had been a ‘dream’ for her.

She described the 911 as fun, but also ‘practical, not in a boring way’.

How week one of being a Porsche 911 went

When drivers pick up a new car for themselves, their first impression often carries a lot of weight.

For our very own Supercar Blondie, she’s had some cars make a dramatic entrance like the Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge.

For this teenager, she was taken by surprise when her mom pulled a prank on her about what new car she’d be receiving.

The earlier stages of owning car matter a whole lot.

If you get off to a good start, it builds up nice memories for the time you own the car.

Fortunately for Lucy, her new purchase was packed full of great qualities.

Lucy had others cars in her garage, but the Porsche 911 was a true stand-out.

She told her viewers: “It’s comfortable, it’s got a nice radio, nice leather seats.

“It’s such a dream to drive, but not in an annoying or inconvenient way.

“Other sports cars that are really low to the ground…you might think ‘Oh, I can’t take that. There’s a speed bump. It’s not practical’.

“[The Porsche 911] has a four wheel drive so it ticks that box. It’s fun, it’s easy, there’s not really anywhere we wouldn’t want to take it.”

But were there any drawbacks to this car?

Did this car have any bad qualities?

Lucy ominously told her subscribers: “It seems like the same story on this channel, something always goes wrong.

“The wiper blades are a bit old, so I need to replace them.”

That’s hardly a catastrophe, right?

It’s not like it had some bad news lurking under the hood, like this 1965 Chevrolet Nova.

As you might have guessed, Lucy was being sarcastic when she mentioned that – it was a $25 fix.

All in all, Lucy was really pleased with her decision to have bought a 911.
